Robert Kružík - violoncello


   Robert Kruzik was born in the family of proffesional musicians. At the age of five he started to learn piano playing and one year later violoncello playing as a private student of prof. B.Havlik. Later he continued studying at the Brno Conservatory with M.Zicha and also taking lessons of conducting with E.Holis who prepared him to pass entrance examination to the Conservatory where he became the student of S.Kummer. Robert took part in several cello competitions (The Heran International Competition - Czech Republic, The Festival of Conservatories in Czech Republic - 1st prize, The Concertino Praga, The Violoncello Competition Liezen in Austria,The Junior Prague Note - 3rd prize, The Dotzauer Cello Competition in Germany - 3rd prize). He also improved his talent in several Masterclasses (V.Horak, J.Podhoransky, M.Petras, J.Barta, M.Fukacova and R.Wallfisch). For five years he was playing in the Moravian Chamber Orchestra. In 2008 he had his debut as a soloist with the Brno Philharmonic and the B.Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra Zlin. In 2009 he became chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra Blansko and the Helfer Orchestra Society in Brno. Since 2010 he has been studying conducting with H.Farkac and cello playing with M.Petras at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague. Last year Robert became a chief conductor of the Kolin Philharmonic Orchestra.
